The ARRI Ultra Prime 8R T2.8 is an ultra-wide rectilinear prime — 8mm focal length, rectilinear projection (not fisheye), and the kind of specialty lens that gets pulled for architectural and wide environmental shots. The 8R is physically large because of the front element required to deliver rectilinear projection at that focal length, and it carries a dedicated mattebox in this case configuration. The CNC-cut foam interior profiles both the Ultra Prime 8R body and a matched mattebox. The 8R cutout supports the lens with the large front element protected, and the mattebox sits in a dedicated cutout that holds it ready for mounting. Accessory cutouts accommodate the lens caps and the mattebox filter trays.Shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and a soft-grip carry handle. Closed-cell polyethylene foam CNC-cut to the 8R and mattebox bodies.Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days. For variants with different matteboxes or additional Ultra Primes, call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
